Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actress, director, and musician. She has directed a number of episodes of TV and film, including Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Milena was the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf’s CBS series FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two pilots. Milena was one of eight filmmakers chosen by AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women, and also the exclusive Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program. Unspeakable was her short film as well as a TV show proof of concept, was shown at SXSW. It also took home Best Episodic Award at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) has been shown all over the country, winning Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has acted in over 100 TV episodes acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) which was which was a Dick Wolf series, was her second major character. The result was her being named the Emmy-winning female detective in Law & Order (1990). The actress has appeared on or reprised on a variety of other showslike K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and also for the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has been featured in a variety of movies which include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) as a co-star with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015), starring opposite Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). The native of Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian of her high school before completing two majors in vocal performance and pre-med, with minors in dance and violin at the University of Central Oklahoma, with a valedictorian award at the end of the course. Her classical ballet training shortly after to stage her Broadway debut in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
