Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She began her professional career as a television and film producer, producing films such as "The New Card Sharks", (1978), and "Card Sharks," (1986). Post produced projects such as Double Dare (1976), and was a guest on numerous TV shows, including E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001). She is perhaps most famous for her part in "Christine Sullivan", who was a Night Court star (1984). From 1984 to 1992, she appeared in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She was famous for her poetry and as a nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7, 2015.). Alongside her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). Born in Palo Alto, California and raised in Walnut Creek. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She was part of the trick roping team in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her body was cremated, and her cremated remains returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifelong Democrat. Markie Post, who was three months from her 71st birthday date on the 4th of November, 2021, died on the 7th of August. She was 27 days away from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) which was her co-star who passed away on July 11 2021. Even though the two shows were completely unrelated, Night Court (1984) was cancelled in 1992 when her character Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire (1992) was released later that year with Post as a new character Georgie Lahti. The character coincidentally worked in Washington DC (and later moving to a town that was smaller).
