Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born on July 23rd, 1970 was an American actress. Cordelia Chase was a character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural thriller series (1997-1999) as well as the spin-off series Angel (1999-04). Also, she starred as Kyra in Charmed (2004) as well as Kendall Casablanca's in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012). Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter, who worked in a bird sanctuary, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter attended the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas; she was also a member of a song and dance group that performed in the Las Vegas Valley when she was just nine years old. old.When Carpenter was 15, her family moved to Rosario Beach, Baja California, Mexico and then to San Diego, California. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter embarked on a journey to Europe after her graduation. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics teacher as well as a videostore clerk and property manager. She also was a cheerleader with San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male friends were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex- San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them with a gun. Her friends as well as Hubbard were killed during the fight. Hubbard fled the scene while both of her friends survived. Hubbard was arrested and was convicted and sentenced to 56-years in prison for several sexual assaults. Carpenter stole Hubbard's flashlight an official police flashlight, off the beach. The flashlight was an important piece of evidence used against Hubbard.
