Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born May 12, 1972, is an American actress. Most well-known is her character as attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she was given the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Show, Miniseries, or Television Film. She has also starred in the NBC miniseries Whitney (2011-2013), ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12, 1972. Her mother worked as an executive assistant in the United States Navy, and her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. She grew up in a family which moved frequently, including in Washington, D.C., Arizona, and Japan. From a young age, she was inspired by her grandparent and grandmother to study drawing, painting and architecture. She continued to pursue the visual arts, but she also had a growing passion for acting and was exposed to contemporary theatre in the college. She earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. In college, Seehorn was looking to get into theater, after the advice of her acting coach. She held a variety of ancillary roles within the theater industry in D.C. to try to be noticed. She was able get several important parts in local theatre productions. But, she was forced to do odd jobs to survive. In order to pay the bills she took on roles in short instructional films. In the next few years, she was able to be cast in TV productions. The roles she played were usually that were "very humorous and humorous" similar to her idol Bea Arthur. These roles were usually cancelled after a couple of seasons. Seehorn was the lead in Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, who is a lawyer and is the love of Jimmy McGill/SaulGoodman (Bob Odenkirk).
