Rosario Isabel Dawson Bio

Rosario Isabel Dawson, born May 9, 1979 [3in the US, is an American actress. Her feature film debut was in the 1995 drama Kids. Her roles in subsequent films include He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (2002). Dawson is also a voice actor for work for Disney/Marvel, Warner Bros./DC Comics, and ViacomCBS's Nickelodeon unit.For her performance in Rent, Dawson won the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress for a Motion Picture; for her performance in Top Five, she was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for the Best Actress in a Comedy. Dawson was born in New York City on May 9th, 1979. Isabel Celeste, her mother is Afro-Cuban. Rosario was just 16 at the time Isabel was born. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, never married Patrick C. Harris. Rosario was a girl when her mother married Greg Dawson (a construction worker). Dawson is four years younger than Clay. Clay is Dawson's half-brother. Dawson is also famous for her roles in comic-book adaptations.These include Gail in Sin City (2005) and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple in five of the shows from Marvel/Netflix (2015-2018), and acting as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on the DC Animated Movie Universe and Space Jam: A New Legacy as well as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in The Lego Batman Movie. In 2020, she portrayed Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian, and is scheduled to appear in the new Disney+ original series Ahsoka. In addition, she will be appearing in Young Rock, an autobiographical comedy series written by Dwayne John in 2021.
